Window Design
SCOTCH & SODA | SISSY-BOY | 2011-2024 | Brand experience, Set design & Window Styling
Working for Scotch & Soda as a window designer for all the adult stores was truly a dream come true. Not only did I get to design the windows, but I also managed the entire process—from budgeting and production to rollout, transport, and troubleshooting. It was an incredible experience to oversee every detail, knowing that these windows were being sent all over the world, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable brand identity across all locations. Being part of such a creative, global project was a perfect blend of my passion for design and my love for bringing a vision to life on a large scale.
Below you will find a selection of the windows I was most proud of.
Scotch & Soda
Collectables x La Rinascente
At La Rinascente in Milan, I had the incredible opportunity to create a one-off window display. In the middle of the night, my team and I came together to bring this world to life.
Inspired by our Collectables line, the window was designed to completely embody the essence of the brand. Every detail, from the layout to the materials, was crafted to ooze the signature Scotch & Soda vibe. It was a unique challenge, but seeing it come together, especially in such an iconic location, was an unforgettable moment in my career.
Scotch & Soda
Amsterdams Blauw
Amsterdams Blauw was the core denim line from
Scotch & Soda, and for this particular season, the theme revolved around sailors.
The main inspiration for the window display came
from Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic. We captured the whimsical and adventurous spirit of the film, infusing it into the design to create a playful yet stylish homage. The window told a story, combining the nautical elements of the season with the quirky aesthetic that The Life Aquatic is known for, perfectly reflecting the essence
of Amsterdams Blauw.
Scotch & Soda
New York Fashionweek
During New York Fashion Week, we participated for
the first time with a fashion show to elevate Scotch & Soda to a higher-end level. I was part of the creative team that developed the concept for "Scotch on Wheels," a traveling truck that made its way to fashion weeks around the world.
To make a lasting impression in New York City, we transformed all the store windows into the #ourfashionweek concept, seamlessly tying together the fashion show and the truck. Each window was wrapped in a unique moss-style cover, creating a striking visual statement that connected the brand's innovative spirit with the energy of Fashion Week. It was an unforgettable experience, merging design, branding, and creativity to leave a lasting impact.
Sissy-Boy
Rendez - Vous
Although the budgets at Sissy-Boy were only a glimps
of what I was used to at Scotch & Soda, it didn’t deter me
from being innovative and creative within a tighter framework. In fact, it pushed me to think more resourcefully
and make every element count. One example is this window concept where the theme of the photoshoot was a date or a sneaky meeting.
I designed the window to feel like a diary or scrapbook
of that rendez-vous, capturing the intimate and playful moments of the story. Every detail in the window added to the narrative, proving that with the right vision, even smaller budgets can deliver big impact.
